These are the job requirements of a ninja. What?! You don’t know how to bake? Time to train in the art of gingerbread cookies. Here’s a\u00a0recipe that’ll mutate you into a true master.<\/p>\n
What You’ll Need<\/strong><\/p>\n Gingerbread cookie dough, homemade or store-bought How to Make<\/strong><\/p>\n Step One:\u00a0<\/strong>Preheat oven according to the directions in your favorite gingerbread\u00a0cookie dough recipe. Roll out dough and have your kid help cut you cut out gingerbread men\u00a0with the cookie cutter. Bake according to directions.<\/p>\n Step Two:\u00a0<\/strong>Allow cookies to cool completely.\u00a0<\/em>Use the green\u00a0icing to completely fill in the head and body of the gingerbread man. Once green icing has set, fill in the torso of the body\u00a0with yellow icing. Using a toothpick, score the yellow torso into four quadrants, as seen in\u00a0the photo.<\/p>\n Step Three:\u00a0<\/strong>Now for the details! Using the photo for reference, use orange\u00a0icing to create Mikey’s mask and arm bands. Allow to set.<\/p>\n Step Four:\u00a0<\/strong>Dip a toothpick into the white\u00a0icing and make two dots for Mikey’s eyes. Allow to set. Finally, dip a toothpick into the black icing and draw on Mikey’s pupils and smiling mouth. Set aside for icing to set completely.
