Oyoyoy! Is your\u00a0kid afraid of dark places like Tracker? Before you go out and buy a generic night light, consider creating this super easy craft together with your child. That way, you can work together with\u00a0the newest pup to tackle your child’s\u00a0fear head-on, with an extra dose of creativity and fun.<\/p>\n

What You’ll Need<\/strong><\/p>\n

Empty salsa jar
\nTracker face template and hat patterns (print below!)
\nScissors, adult and kid versions
\nClear tape
\nConstruction paper in green, brown, pink, gray, and white
\nWhite glue
\nElectric tea light<\/p>\n

How to Make<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Kids can help with the cleaning, gluing, and cutting if they’re ready!)<\/p>\n

Step One:\u00a0<\/strong>Clean out your salsa jar and remove the label with soap and warm water.<\/p>\n

Step Two: <\/strong>Print and cut out the Tracker face\u00a0template. Roll to fit the shape of the jar. Fit into the jar and tape the back of the rolled template to the\u00a0back of the jar with clear tape.<\/p>\n

Step Three:\u00a0<\/strong>Cut out a green strip of paper to fit the circumference and height of the lid\u00a0and glue\u00a0all the way around the edge of the lid.\u00a0(The size of the strip will differ according to the salsa brand you use.)<\/p>\n

Step Four: <\/strong>On green paper, trace and cut out the hat brim from the patterns page\u00a0and glue to the bottom edge of the salsa jar lid.<\/p>\n

Step Five:\u00a0<\/strong>Cut out the remaining hat patterns onto green construction paper, the ears onto brown and pink paper, and the badge onto gray and white paper, using the photo for reference. Glue all pieces onto the salsa jar lid, according to the photo. Make sure you glue them on while the lid is closed so that the hat will be properly aligned with Tracker’s face. Set aside\u00a0to dry completely.<\/p>\n

Step Six.\u00a0<\/strong>Turn on the tealight and place\u00a0inside the jar.\u00a0Time for your little pup to be brave like Tracker and hit the hay!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
