Save those plastic takeout containers and turn them into art. The thin plastic compacts and shrinks into a hard plastic, making our little ones’ favorite characters come to life! The printables make it that much more exciting and easy to achieve.
What You’ll Need:
- Thin plastic like the ones from a takeout container
- Scissors
- Masking tape
- Permanent markers
- Nickelodeon printable
- Parchment paper
- Oven
How to Make:
Step 1: Print the character pages
Step 2: Cut the flat portion of the plastic container
Step 3: Tape the printable to the table and tape the plastic right on top
Step 4: Color in the character using different permanent markers and trace the black lines using a fine black permanent marker
Step 5: Cut off the excess plastic around the character
Step 6: Preheat the oven to 300°F. Place parchment paper on an oven safe tray and place in the oven. Watch the character shrink. It should take no more than 5-10 minutes.
Step 7: Once it shrinks, remove from the oven and allow it to cool.
